About ESL Supplies

What Makes ESL Supplies Unique?

OUR MISSION

ESL Supplies LLC's mission is to provide effective materials to promote English language acquisition and retention. Essential English vocabulary and photos of everyday objects and diverse people make these resources unique and highly effective for Newcomers (ELLs) of all ages. Many charts address the needs of Students with Limited or Interrupted Formal Education (SLIFE). Teaching the English language is our passion!

OUR STORY

Rebecca Schwartz, a passionate adult ESL instructor, began to design English language charts for adult ESL students. Soon, other TESOL, Bilingual, Literacy, and special education teachers wanted to use these charts, too. That's how ESL Supplies LLC began in 2017.

OUR VALUES

R E S P E C T - ESL Supplies LLC recognizes and respects the life experience, intelligence and cumulative knowledge of all ages of English Learners.

G I V I N G - ESL Supplies LLC donates materials to local education providers: Gardner International School, Lansing Adult Education, and Refugee Development Center.

Essential Vocabulary

ESL Supplies uses essential vocabulary which Newcomers (ELLs) need to know.  For example, you won't find an octopus on our ESL Alphabet Poster. Instead you will find on/off (short) or open (long).

Diverse People

At ESL Supplies, we believe that all students need to see a reflection of themselves in educational materials. Our products are inclusive of diverse races, ethnicities, nationalities, religions, and sensibilities.

Age Appropriate

Our English Language Charts can be used with First Graders or Adult Newcomers. Photographs of everyday objects and diverse people, make these ESL Posters appropriate for all ages.

Everyday Objects

Photographs of everyday objects are used to illustrate phonics, reading, grammar, writing, life skills, and vocabulary concepts. Newcomers learn vocabulary will studying the English language.

Warm, Muted Colors

Our warm color palette creates a welcoming atmosphere. Muted colors encourage longer viewing and more engagement time. We do use bright primary and pastel colors because these cause students to disengage quickly.

Three Sizes of Charts

ESL and Literacy is taught in a wide variety of settings and situations. We provide anchor charts for tutors - 8.5x11", push-in, pull-out, traveling (multilocation) and small group teachers - 11x14", and classroom instructors - 17x22".

Anchor Chart Downloads

Give anchor chart downloads to online and in-person students as a convenient reference.
